The readathon got a mention last night at Crooks and Liars.
Cool beans.
Finished The Fire Gospel. Memo to self: remember to find out later if Faber was intentionally giving a nod to Tobias Wolff's "Bullet to the Brain" in the later portion of the book.

Congrats on finishing Fire Gospel!
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the rest of the read-a-thon and have fun!
Go, Susan! Go!
ReplyDeleteMy 9 year old daughter read 673 pages in less than 24 hours earlier this week, when a box of books arrived from Amazon. I should have had her wait for this read-a-thon. Of course, she needs a new prescription (again!) and has an appointment at the optometrist next week.
That's awesome that we got a mention! Wish I were actually reading though. I've now decided that I MUST join the next one. Cheering has been fun though, since I've gotten to meet so many of you great book bloggers! Good luck with your reading...and I hope the migraine stays at bay! I hate them. Best of luck! :)
ReplyDeleteShe should definitely participate next time, Margaret. 673 pages in a day is an impressive amount to get through without any outside motivation. She'd manage to put everyone else to shame if she decided to get competitive.
ReplyDeleteAnd thank you, Becky and Lorin!
