January's Library Loot
I think I shall attempt to participate monthly in Eva's weekly Library Loot event. Some deserving books, such as The Secret Scripture, Dry Storeroom No. 1 and The Flying Troutmans, will get themselves read and returned and miss being on hand for any photo shoots that may occur, but I don't want to make myself crazy trying to account for every library book that comes through the door.
This week I have on hand:
Irene Pepperberg. Alex and Me
Dan Simmons. Hyperion
Ursula. K. LeGuin. The Left Hand of Darkness
A.S. Byatt. The Djinn in the Nightingale's Eye
Karen Maitland. Company of Liars
Laura Miller. The Magician's Book: A Skeptic's Adventures in Narnia
John Ferling. A Leap in the Dark: The Struggle to Create the American Republic

I don't worry about every single book either-I love that you take a real picture! I loved The Djinn in the Nightingale's Eye when I read it last year. :D And I've been curious about the Narnia book for awhile, so I'll be on the lookout for your thoughts. :)
