  6. Me too. I went to Vermont 7 year ago this week. I still love it. I'd love to go back but it never makes the cut when vacations are planned.

  7. Did you have a chance to go visit Champ? We got to Vermont every year. The ride from Boston up into Vermont is gorgeous.

  8. This is one of the places in the
    U. S. that I long to go but haven't made it to yet. I'm soooo jealous. But, thanks for sharing the pictures. They're gorgeous.

  9. Mike, is Champ Lake Champlain by any chance? We saw the lake Saturday when we were in Burlington waiting for the plane.

We drove Hwy 202 (?), the scenic drive through the White Mountains in New Hampshire one day, and went to Portland, Maine, for a seafood lunch. Vermont's the most gorgeous state I've seen, but the White Mountains were great, too.

I wish we could live up there.

  10. Are billboards still banned in Vermont? That absence gave me such a feeling of calm.

  11. SFP - Champ is Lake Champlain's monster. It's North America's Loch Ness Monster. But alas, we've been up there a few times and have never spotted Champ. Kind of funny and campy, but there is a whole history of it.
