Lately, I have managed to slow down somewhat - I have mostly stopped buying books but I'm still getting about 5-6 books a month through BookMooch.Bibliophilehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10960676264710788969noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8861486.post-43302691823337485382009-05-15T03:04:00.000-04:002009-05-15T03:04:00.000-04:00When I share my books with friends or coworkers, I...When I share my books with friends or coworkers, I feel less guilty about the book-buying gluttony. The university library is my new target and it's less injurious to my budget.

I wish I lived next door to the previous poster, lol!!!Bybeehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10061186489010154661noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8861486.post-50154399012129642912009-05-14T20:52:00.000-04:002009-05-14T20:52:00.000-04:00I suppose one has to think of priorities at some p...I suppose one has to think of priorities at some point of time. Last year when I moved house, I drastically gave away 2000+ books out of 4000+ to orphanages, old age homes, local libraries etc etc

Even now I keep giving away. Yesterday I gave away 56 books to the tiny library in our apartment block.

I know I still have too many books, read as well unread but now I am tryinng to be better organised.gautami tripathyhttp://readbookswritepoetry.blogspot.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8861486.post-34587278049971574742009-05-14T16:17:00.000-04:002009-05-14T16:17:00.000-04:00I believe every book has its moment with an indivi...I believe every book has its moment with an individual reader, and that is why I have to keep buying them in case I have a whim for that particular book.

Proud to be a glutton, but I try not to buy. And I live with another glutton, although he's not quite as bad as I am. I suspect I have more books than I can read before I die, and I don't think I'm slowing down at all.

But whatever. I don't buy a lot of shoes or anything.Lisahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14793601965773276686noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8861486.post-81602149740738981642009-05-14T13:35:00.000-04:002009-05-14T13:35:00.000-04:00I will probably never make it through all the book...I will probably never make it through all the books I already own, and yet, new ones just keep making their way to my house!Melissahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06474584473012742915noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8861486.post-60103088392106229442009-05-14T12:04:00.000-04:002009-05-14T12:04:00.000-04:00Oh, I am quite certain that I will never be able t...Oh, I am quite certain that I will never be able to read all of the books I already own in my lifetime, and yet, I continue to buy. Then again, I probably get as much pleasure from bringing home stacks of books from the library as from the bookstore, so that ought to help strengthen my economizing resolve.Kate S.https://www.blogger.com/profile/16897618197257393697noreply@blogger.com
