This was a well thought out story, with interesting characters. I love not knowing throughout whether to like or dislike Gabriella.

What I found interesting and a little bothersome was that I had to keep telling myself that it was set in modern times and not in the roaring 20's.

Yes you can draw comparisons to Dan Brown, but that is not a detriment. You can see that Trussoni put her own thoughts and interpretations into her characters.Brandon J. Seriously? Abbesses' portraits in a convent? And every time I put the book down, my head went back to that, as though it was the most ridiculous part of the book.Jenahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07832420356107544084noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8861486.post-64078338729952352422010-04-16T12:01:28.995-04:002010-04-16T12:01:28.995-04:00I think I'll skip this one though I immensely ...I think I'll skip this one though I immensely enjoyed your telling of it. I read a couple of fictional books on the Nephilium when I was in high school, and the only thing I really remember about them is how bad they were. I've been soured on the subject ever since. In this case, it sounds like that was a good thing.

"Passages" by Justin Cronin, on the other hand, sounds great. I'm definitely adding that to my TBR list.

Hope you next read - and thriller, for that matter - goes better.

www.whosabiblioaddict.comjspeytonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05084212108074287249noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8861486.post-6667491243501441242010-04-15T10:25:51.061-04:002010-04-15T10:25:51.061-04:00You know, I'll probably read the sequel.
