Second hand books are wild books, homeless books; they have come together in vast flocks of variegated feather, and have a charm which the domesticated volumes of the library lack.

Ahhh...She gets it right every time. Loved yesterday's quote too.
(today's word verification is "homish"--how apt!)
I like that. I love the congregation of diverse books you find rubbing spines together in used bookstores. And from there, onto my own shelves...
LOVE it. And so the used books I buy from street vendors, those are practically feral.
My new library is run by people whose first language isn't English, so it's positively feral!
They're not homeless once I get my hands on them. That is the root of my entire tbr problem!
Perfect. I like to adopt homeless books, but they often just pass through, so they are truly 'wild' books, roaming books. :)
